Let me SAY HI
Remember the 90s? The last Offline Era. We met in parks, not apps. We went to parties to see our crush. Our phones had Snake, not swipes. And if someone didn't text back, well… they probably just ran out of messages. I miss those days. Not because they were better but because they were real. There was magic in mixtapes, handwritten notes, and meeting people where we already were.
Fast forward to 2020. I was tired of endless swiping and wasted dates. Everything felt disconnected, that classic mismatch: online crush, offline crash. Swiping fatigue. Urgh. I kept thinking: why isn’t there a simple way to meet people just by existing in the world?
So I made a shirt that said: “Single.” Horrible quality, terrible font and the message… cringe. But I still believed in the idea. Then the pandemic hit, and suddenly, talking to strangers was the last thing anyone wanted to do. So the idea went into a drawer labeled: “Maybe later.”
It stayed there until 2025. During a skiing trip with friends, we started tossing around business ideas. My favorite? A community farmhouse we’d renovate - live, work, host people. But it needed a serious budget and even more serious renovation skills. And let’s just say… my friends are more “set the table” than “fix the roof” kind of people.
So I reached back into the drawer. The Single Shirt. But this time, it had to be different.
Simple. Fun. Something one person could wear, and others would just get it. No app. No investor. No big campaign. It had to speak for itself. It had to be the message and the invitation.
And then it hit me baby one more time: SAY HI Club.
Not a label. An invitation to connect. To start a chat. In real life.
It started for singles, but it’s really about people.
We all want to feel seen. We want to belong. So take off your headphones. Look up. And if you're feeling bold…
Just SAY HI.
