Why Sicily Collective
Sicily Collective is a shared house in the Sicilian countryside, slow living with a small group of people, cooking, exploring, and doing gloriously little together. It started with a beautiful villa, somewhere warm, with a pool and cows nearby. I found the place, and then thought: why do this alone? In 2024, we were ten people in total. I've done it three times since, with different people each time.

How to Sicily Collective

Slow living
Read, nap, or just watch the day go by. Nothing is scheduled, everything is optional.

Food
Good, local, Italian cooking. Pick your own lemons and oranges from the garden.

Animals & nature
Morning walks past the goats, sheep, and cows next door. The countryside at your own pace.

Baroque towns
Noto, Modica, Ragusa, and Scicli, all UNESCO heritage, all within an hour, all yours to explore.

Local producers
Wine tasting, chocolate tasting in Modica, and the people behind what ends up on your plate.

Sea & walks
Ten minutes to the coast. Beach days, coastal walks, whatever slow looks like for you.
Two Houses, One Collective
Italy is everyone's someday. We're doing it off-season, away from the crowds, when the countryside is quiet, green, and properly spring, and the pizza, the gelato, and the wine are just as good without the queue. Two houses, same area, different pace. Book one, or stay for all three weeks.
2 weeks
Farmhouse Experience
Animals right outside your door, sheep, goats, cows. Lemons, oranges, and olives from the trees in the garden. A real, local, no-rush pace, work by day if you need to, explore in the afternoons, help with the animals or hop on the tractor if you're up for it. The slower, easier half of the trip.
1 week
Villa Experience
Same area, a proper upgrade: more space, more room to create, more time for the group. This is where the collective really comes together, shared dinners, late conversations, and whatever everyone wants to make of the week.
Your host
This is my fourth time out there, so I've done the scouting for you. I know which restaurant by the sea to go to for the best seafood and an Aperol afterwards, where to hike, which village to wander on a quiet afternoon, and who makes the best wine nearby. But just as much, I know how to bring a group together, cooking pasta on a Tuesday night, the kind of conversation that only happens after day three, the people who show up alone and leave as friends. I find the houses and set the scene. You bring you.
What this is, and what it isn't
Our vibe
- A shared house, community, not a guest
- Slow Italian living, nature, sea, long dinners
- Everyone contributes, a meal, a drive, a skill
- Plenty of unplanned time, a few things organised
- Work-friendly, small group of six to ten people
Not our vibe
- A packed itinerary or a guided tour
- A see-all-of-Sicily-in-seven-days sprint
- A hotel, where everything is done for you
- Sightseeing with no time to breathe
- A fixed daily schedule with no room for idling
Voices from the table
No SAY HI Club member has booked this one through us yet, you could be first. Once someone goes, their real write-up lands here, not a stock testimonial.
Location
Countryside villa, Sicily South
Right in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Baroque towns of the Val di Noto, Modica, Ragusa, Scicli and Noto are all under an hour away, some just fifteen minutes, and the sea at Sampieri is close enough for an evening swim.

Flights: ~€150 from any major European city if you book early
Rental Car: ~€120 per week
Note: We're about 1.5 hours from Catania airport, or around 4 hours from Palermo. If you'd like to explore more of Sicily first, best by car. Not easily reached by train, let me know and I can help match you up with others driving in.
